Cascais, July 30th 7:05 pm.

Im staring outside a window right now where terra cotta rooftops and antennas are in a race to see who is the first the cover up the isoceles triangle of ocean i have left from this view. Yet, somehow, all is calm and there is no sign of movement. Francisco´s boat looks like an ant from here but by the look of the water, its been a pretty successful day.

Sirens are traded for seagulls singing. Cobblestones compete with your shoes after your fifth Lavazza. The sun is intense.
It means business.
But luckily the breeze is its best counterpart.
Its completely unreal.
Nature seems happy here; the palm trees are smiling. Im reading that Eckhart Tolle book and fittingly enough, one line suggests that flowers are simply plants who have attained enlightenment and have transcended materiality into another realm of beauty.

Its a real society where the desire for quality of life, a general stillness and an intense longing to preserve tradition is exchanged for the most interesting of arrogances. (N.B: Reality Check will be hosting live from Cascais any day now.)

I ate some seared tuna for dinner, a glass of 11 year old wine (just cause) and the strangest of cheeses. Its a land of Beirut 24/7.

Till soon, my loves. xx
